The Direct Test Course for Experienced Drivers Seeking a Driving License for Golden Visa Holders
If you have a Golden Visa, you can schedule the RTA Knowledge Test and Road Test on the same day. You receive your driving licence faster after you pass the tests. You do not need to take training courses if you hold a valid driving licence, regardless of your nationality or the country that issued the licence. If you do not pass the Road Test, complete the training required by RTA before another attempt.
Before enrolment, review the package details and the current RTA fees that apply to your profile. The total payable amount depends on your selected package, the required training and applicable government services.
The components of the Direct Test Driving Course:
- Theory Test: A mandatory theory test covering traffic laws, road signs, and safe driving practices.
- Direct Road Test: An on-road driving test conducted by RTA examiners to assess driving competence.
- Short Refresher Sessions: Optional refresher sessions are available for brushing up on specific driving skills, if needed.
